Michael Dorf received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Toledo in 1962. Mr. Dorf graduated from University of Toledo College of Law in 1966. Mr. Dorf has been practicing law for 50 years and has been practicing in the area of Ohio workers’ compensation law virtually full-time since 1972. Mr. Dorf was listed at least once in the Best Lawyers of America and Who’s Who in America. Mr. Dorf was accepted as a life member of the National Registry of Who’s Who published in the 1988 edition as a top lawyer in his field. Mr. Dorf is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Toledo Bar Association, Lucas County Bar Association, and the Ohio Association for Justice.
Steven Kalniz attended Indiana University for two years and ultimately received a Bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music (1991), He received a paralegal certificate from The University of California Los Angeles (1994). Mr. Kalniz graduated magna cum laude from the University of Toledo College of Law (2003) on a full scholarship where he was a member of law review and the Order of the Coif. Mr. Kalniz worked as a paralegal in the field of workers’ compensation law from 1994 until 2003. Mr. Kalniz has practiced law in the workers’ compensation field since 2003.
Mr. Kalniz is a member of the Toledo Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Ohio Association for Justice, the Lucas County Bar Association and the Toledo Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Committee. Mr. Kalniz was the regional representative for the Ohio Association for Justice workers’ compensation committee for 2014-2015 and is currently the secretary of the Toledo Bar Association workers’ compensation committee. Mr. Kalniz was awarded the Rising Star Award by Superlawyers.com in 2011 and the Martindale-Hubbell Client Distinction Award in 2014.
